  5. I have used the 2499 for a few of my flies and so far I love them. I have found that my landing ratio has not been effected in ANY way compared to pinching the barb on a hook. I have tied a few different patterns with them and like I said, Love them. If I have any pics of flies tied with them, I will post them. Rick
  6. My wife crocheted me a small litte holder for my Chap stick, so I have that attached to my vest right beside my Nippers. My lips ALWAYS dry out when I am fishing, and I always seem to lose them, since she made me this holder, I haven't lost one! Rick
  7. I Like, I Like , Buggy looking little buggers Rick

  9. LOVE my Canadian Juniors, but........ Screw the BS comment about the ref's, that is just plain sour grapes!!! The USA did a great job, played one hell of a game, and played better than I have seen a US team play in MANY years. They were faster during the whole game, you could tell they really wanted this game. Maybe they should have won, maybe not, but to blame the ref's, typical of a losing Fan, Canadians would say the same thing if we had lost! Rick
  10. I use this technique; The Guys Video is not very good, but at least it shows how. LINK Rick
  11. Just a few M.A.O.L's that I have been tying for Steelhead. Rick
  12. A Few others for Trout (Cutthroat and Rainbow) Rick

  14. I am a Nor Vise rep in BC. Obviously, I love them, that is why I became a rep. The two only issues I have ever had with the vise are: -As others have stated, the auto bobbin, if the thread breaks you need to re-spool it and that can take a minute. -The one Big beef I have, (And I have spoke to Norm about it) is the Material holder. On most rotary vises, the Holder or spring like item is easily accessed, with the Nor-Vise, it is difficult to use because of the size of the main Mandrel. Besides these Items, Since starting to use the Nor-Vise, my tying has speed up exponentially!!!! Rick
  15. My favorite for flavor and Tenderness is the Tri Tip. The cut is VERY Tender, and has some of the best flavor on the Cow, IMHO. I just give the steak a quick spicing with Salt/Pepper/ and Creole seasoning. Get a Cast Iron pan REAL hot. Sear both sides and put it in the oven at Broil for another 5 minutes (For Medium Rare on a 1" thick Steak). Rick
