  1. I like micro tubing over larva lace. Can stretch in a lot more, gives you more control of size of body or rib.
  2. Condolences to family and friends. He was a mentor to me and he never even new, just due to the knowledge of fly fishing which loved to share and protect.
  3. Nope I haven't fished it. But it sure looks yummy! Just trying out different stuff. It's suppose to be a backswimmmer/boatman.

  6. What are you guys using for the wire to attach the hooks together? If using and articulated shank from fish men, better to have hook at back or hook in the front?
  7. The redington butterstick. I ended up coming home and buying one off of eBay! Bought myself the 7'6" 4 wt, have a sage 1800 series 3/4 wt reel to pair with it. Can't wait for spring!

  16. Thanks you guys! Gil- have to look into thoses lenses. I try to use macro setting seems to help for sure. Lornce- have to try somewhere else than the tying bench or turn off the florescent light that is on the wok bench I use I guess!
  17. Hey guys. Wondering anyone has any tips on taking pictures of the flies you've tied. I've posted a couple pics but they were taken with my I phone. Bought the fiance a nikon p 600 this Christmas and was looking to take some better pics. Any advice and tips welcome. Thanks!
