You should take an introduction course from one of the local shops. I did and my tying has improved big time. Also "Fly Tying Made Clear and Simple by Skip Morris" is an awesome book. Real well done with great illustrations and lots of tips on technique. Good luck.

I have it and have fished a couple of times with it. Real nice, very little friction, floats high and is louder through the guides. Not sure bout wear on the guides.

When I fish a dry with a dropper, I tie the tippet to the eye of the dry fly. With wets, I tie the dropper to the bend of the hook. I try to keep it simple...

Was an avid mountain biker until 2002 until my bro invited me to a guided trip on the bow... Haven't touched the bike in over two years! Cought a few fish, and put on a few pounds!

I've been fishing streamers on the Bow either wading or on the bank with no luck. I've landed a few swinging nymphs, but no luck with streamers. I have been using the same technique as nymphing, (cast 45 upstream, mend, dread drift and swing, and strip towards the bank). I've caught many with streamers on the drift boat so I know the technique from the boat. I've been using 2-3" green or black Clousers, and Bow river buggers on a floating line with a big hunk of split shot, on a 6 wt. 8lb mono, about 4-5 ft leader. Am I using the right technique? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in adavance.
