  1. I'd go with the pontoon boat. But go with a 8' fishcat that way you can go on pnds and rivers.
  2. sweet hair. the raft is pretty cool too.
  3. I know that spot. Not too many people do. Its worth the walk. Nice vid.
  4. Thanks for the feed back. I'm not sure if I'll give it a try or not. On another note found this little guy on the shore by the Fish Creek Park boat launch. I guess he didnt have his PDF on...
  5. Hey, just wondering with the higher flows lately if it is still safe to take the pontoon on the Bow. I seen some people in dingies last night. I know everyone will have their own comfort limit, but was just curious to see how others felt. I have not floated the Bow this year yet, but got out about 3 times last year. Any tips for handling the higher water? Cheers, Fred
  6. Would it be possible to buy the trailer in canada, and then pick the boat up in the states? Might be easier if you can find the right trailer.
  7. This environment canada website can make some pretty cool graphs too. It lets make graphs for diferent time periods for the last two years. Cheers. http://scitech.pyr.ec.gc.ca/waterweb/fullgraph.asp
  8. Hey, not sure if this has been posted before or not, but there's a fly tying show on KSPS on Saturday mornings at 7:30 am. I cant remember what its called but I've enjoyed what I have seen. Set your PVR or VCR and check it out. Cheers. Fred
  9. I fish the Sheep quite regularily. Few large fish but they are there. Caught a 20" bull this summer, and nice rainbows between the forestry reserve and turner valley. Always lots of whities to catch too. Its my go to river when I get frustrated with the Bow. Cheers.
  10. Thanks guys. I'll let you know how things work out. I'll besure to stock up on BWO's. Cheers.
  11. Hey, I have a few days off next week and was thinking about hitting the crow on monday and tuesday. Any idea if its while the trip this time of year, and what to use? As well any reasonable places to stay for a couple of nights? Thanks for your help. Fred
  12. Red copper johns below a split shot work well for whitefish in the sheep or highwood.
  13. I've seen similar things on the Bow recently. I suppose it was larger trout chasing chasing a smaller one into the shallows, with a short battle to follow. Pretty cool to see.
