Had some Bud Lite Lime on the weekend, in the hot sun. Much prefer regular plain old beer. It gives the beer a sweet taste, and not as refreshing in the end. My two cents.

Agreed with the value part. I think the tying of flies has to be approached as a hobby and not as a money saver. I can buy great flies for $1 a piece from Icky. When you look at the cost of the materials and equipment and time - you are going to have to tie a SH1TL0AD of flies to breakeven? I would like to learn though, but only because it would be fun.

I am a bit of a history buff and it is nice that someone in the media has reflected upon some of the truth of Canada's involvement in world events. Canada has a proud, if not secret, history. It is better to have others speak of your deeds, than speak of them yourself.

It is such a big city there are gems in all quadrants. They really need to come for a visit and take a look around. All areas, like most things in life, have their pluses and minuses, but it is a good place to live. Is his work downtown? This will give you a reason to come here and teach me to fish!

I think that this speaks to the campground reservation system not really working in a satisfactory manner. I can understand the frustration of driving all the way there and not having a spot, but doing what Rick did is kind of an accepted way of "reserving" your weekend campsite. Any, by accepted, I mean that the campground administrators know it is happening, and some campers know that is what you have to do. I hope that this new reservation system starts to ease some of the frustration once people get the hang of it, but the jury is still out. I think that next time I have a Wednesday/Thursday off prior to a long weekend, I'm going to ask Rick if I can borrow his spot..... My 0.02....

At my stag party, my friends had a drink made called an eye of newt. It was Tequila, dark rum, chartreuse (light green colour), and Kailua- one ounce of each, layered in a tumbler. The "eye" is a raw egg cracked on top of the 4 layers. The bartender pushes strings of the white down through the layers, which gives the drink a really cool look (unless it is before you to drink....) Several of my buddies said that you have to break the yolk in your mouth or you'll puke, others said that if you don't just pound the whole thing back you'll puke - and I was thinking, I'm going to puke regardless..... Anyway, drank it all in one go, and it was horrible, hideous and nasty, but didn't puke.... well, until later...

Ben is a great guy and local. The flies are indeed awesome, and the service better. I've bought way too many flies from him.......
