    Picture's

Hey TS, the shot of the Kan is EXACTLY where we did out swiftwater rescue training. WTH were you doing in there? There can't be much for fish in that shight.
  2. Man we tried big stimmys tonight for a couple hours and only one single take. But then again, we didn't hit many on bait either. Gotta find a better spot I think.
  3. What works. I caught some on worms last night, but to hell with that, I want em on the fly. First up to bat will be SJW with stimulators on deck and big stones in the hole. Lots of goldeye in the big muddy Peace, how do I catch em. The pike and eyes are ignoring my streamers, mostly because of the less than 3" visibility. Supposed to be way better in the fall. Have to settle for goldeye, they fight great, what have ya caught em on!?
  4. It looks pretty high and they sit with their bellies on the bottom. Probly the main cause.
  5. The spot you took your Pembina pic from showed me one of my best river brookies, about 14"
  6. Pembina many fish, you bad luck. Nice pics

    Canmore Pics

Logging an average of 250km/day does not leave much time for photo edit and upload!!! Here's pics from a trip to Canmore back in late June. Quarry Rocking the new Cortland DT! WTF do you know, I even got one! Buddy's was bigger Thee ye old brookie pond! More fun than Quarry! Continuuuuued below
  11. Goldeye, walleye, sauger and pike are your options. Spinning gear would be a good idea, use small plastic minnows. Saw a fellow there doing well with them. Saw lots of goldeye rising in a recent trip. Fish the fishy looking water with big dries and I think you'll connect.
  12. OK I don't *really* care, but where the hell is this place? These posts are ridiculous. Bull trout galore. Do you ever work?
  13. Well I failed. Had one take on a brown sculpin, but that was all. I guess I'll console myself knowing the population in the lake is looow.
  14. Someting not right here. BCers just got $100 to 'offset' the new carbon tax. I suggest you keep dreaming though
  15. Cool gotta bunch o them. I don't have any full sink but I do have some fairly substantial sections of T10 and T14 to get down. I only have to get down about 25ft, as past success on gear dictates.
  16. That's the plan. Thx SD. Patterns to advise?
  17. ON TEH FLY!?!!!!!1! What's worked for you? Gonna giver a shot tonight. I got some sculpins, and some bully streamers n clousers n such. Lake is ~40ft max and char avg 5-6lbs. Odd fish going to 15-20. What say ye?
  18. Don't overlook your normal lake patterns like leeches, damsels and dragons as well. That being said, skating a caddis across a smooth run is probably the most effective grayling tactic ever. Stimmys may look cooler, but a caddis will float higher and create a better wake in the water. Chironomids work well if they're hatching, but if you don't see the hatch, don't waste your time. Sounds like a good trip, let's have lots of pics of those monster northern grayling
  19. Yeah, didn't mean to say there's no grayling. But thinking you'll find one over a pound this time of year is stretching it. The Embarass fishes alright, but not spectacular, and is probably dirty right now. It's really prone to storm runoff. The Pembina is far better fishing, but a longer drive. Play in the Mcleod, it's more forgiving
  20. Well you're dreaming on the grayling score, but you might get a bull. Go to Millers, west of town 10mins. Should be fishing well right now. Depending on time and gas, Silkstone and Lovett lakes are worth seeing. South on 40 about 30-40mins. 2km hike in. Any trickle with water in it that crosses 40 will have brookies.
  21. Works well for chironomids in the waves, as it allows the fly to slide up and down the loop, giving it action. I just make a figure 8 loop, never had one break
