Guest Jeremie Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Hey guys, i have a little question that i need answered! Me and my dad might head down to the bow this weekend and are looking to float it, we have 1 pontoon boat and 1 inner tube but i know that, that wont work. Would it be safe for me to sit on the back platform while he keeps the boat straight? Or would it make more sense to borrow a buddies pontoon to keep things safer? Any info is appreciated! thanks Quote
ÜberFly Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Yikes!! I would think that at least one of you is going for a swim or will be hooked up!! Might make for interesting casting, as well!! P P.S. Guest Jeremie Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 MY DAD AND I, both know that really only the person sitting on the back will be able to fish because it will just get too crowded if we both fish, so we will float and pull out at different runs throughout the float! OH and i will wear my bathing suit Quote

fishfreak Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 There are weight limits on pontoons, so you should probably check those ratings first. It might be better to rent a larger raft to float down with, than risk permanently bending your frame. Quote
Guest Jeremie Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Makes sense, how much does it cost to rent a raft? and where? Quote

Guest Jeremie Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Very much appreciated Fellas! Might see you out on the water in the next week or two! Quote
acurrie Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 I've done it. with me :195lbs and a buddy: 180lbs on my 10 foot pontoon. It's hard to fish while moving but pulling over at all the sweet holes is possible. Drew Quote
