Conor Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Just a heads up. I was fishing a lake the other day with a few buddies. Spotted a little muskrat swimming the shore line toward us. I said, "Check this out. They will swim right over your line." I've seem them do this dozens of times. Right over my line without even moving it. Hits my buddy's line next. Gets hung up for about a millisecond and SNIP- there goes his front taper. Yikes. Quote

Guest rickleblanc Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Last time I was at Dolberg I went down to capitalize on the evening rise, and three beavers kept swimming near me, splashing their tails. I tried my best for maybe an hour, but never got a bite. Darn rodents! Rick Quote

They kept slapping thier tails and scaring the fish.... Quote
88Wally Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 My dog (a 100 pound black lab cross) cornered a muskrat once and the thing bit a piece of her nose off. Part of her nose was pink for the rest of her life...lol Quote
DonAndersen Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Guys/Gals, It is a little known fact that rodents like Muskrats and Beaver carry Swine flue. You must avoid these areas @ all cost. Just a friendly warning. catch ya' Don Quote
