Bow Diversion

I am trying to find some information on irrigation draw from the Bow. Can anyone tell me what percentage of the Bow is diverted for irrigation? Or point me in the direction of that info?

I'm surprised this info is so hard to find, but after a lot of searching I'm drawing a blank. You'd think the water allotments of the various irrigation districts would have to be public info.

I'm suprised TU wasn't able to help you - I would be amazed they don't have that data

 

You may have to tackle the problem in components (regions) - I know in the national park any draw is done by license so you should be able to determine this by contacting Parks Canada and using access to information, same thing for cities. I've come across this type of data in various studies etc etc, sorry I can't specifically remember where I saw it though.

Try the Alberta Environment department. They have a water license user page on their website, but it's not up and running because there is no water in the canals. So here is the information query
