Don't miss out on a bowl of homemade Congrio soup and a "chupe de locos", oh man am I getting hungry now.

If you hurry, you can make it to tomorrow night's soccer game in Santiago, that place is gonna be nuts, tickets might be hard to come by though. The Chilean huasos v/s the Uruguayan charruas, my money is on the tricolor, if they don't win, I'll eat my XP.

Enjoy your stay, and bring me a Cristal.

Congrio is about the best kept secret in the world!!.......I have eaten it grilled, fried, poached and had it in a soup in Pucon and it was fabulous!!.......

The futbol game with Uruguay was not as good as the one with Peru but 0=0 is o.k I guess.........We're in Santiago today for the first time and what a beautiful city!!........By the way, Saltmontes, I like Escudo better!!........

Glad to see you guys are having fun in "the ol' country", plenty of good stuff to see and enjoy. I might just have to plan a trip down there one of these days. Too much family to visit though, countless uncles aunts and cousins, you name it, if I were to visit them all I'd need a full year. I'd love to go for 3 months, visit the family for 10 days then go get lost in the Coyaique and Aysen areas for a couple of months until my arm falls off from casting. Mom was from the south, around the Osorno area, and she used to tell me about a brother of hers taking some "gringo" clients (he was an investor) for some fishing action on my other uncle's land (he was a huge farmer, had 3 massive farms) and the fishing was simply incredible. He fished the Rahue, the Simpson and the Baker and a few other rivers long before they became well known for being a great fishery. Oh well, maybe some day.......

Take care and have a safe trip home,

Alvaro

Oh yeah, I forgot, a Escudo will do me just fine (kidding)
