I would like to take a trip to wedge pond sometime in July. I have read that Chironomids are the ticket, but what specific patterns? Also is their any potential for dry fly action in July or just the Chironomids.

Last time I was there, they were taking the small white midges off the surface. Like Daves says, you'll want to go small on the dry to get any attention. I was using some simple griffith's gnats in 18 ad 20 that worked well, larger flies 14/16 were snubbed. For chironomids, I used a silkworm in size 16 that worked pretty good too.

Was there two weeks ago and had fun using a mosquito dry #18.
