Suntoucher Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 I tore up my rubber waders this weekend from those dam sharp dead pine brances! Any advice on what kind of glue or patches to use to repair them? Suntoucher Quote
Lawrence Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 depending on the size of the tear you can use aqua seal, the stuff works great. Quote
LynnF Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 I second that...it's the miracle glue for waders. Quote
rhuseby Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Best stuff in wader world. If it's a big rip, cut out a piece of cloth big enough cover the hole plus at least 1/2" all around. Coat the whole area of the wader with aquaseal, put some on the cloth patch and put the two sides together make sure they stick together well. Then coat the whole thing with a final layer and let dry for a day. Never had one of those suckers break down me. The rest of the wader will fall apart before the patch. Quote
Suntoucher Posted June 29, 2007 Author Posted June 29, 2007 Thanks for the info people! There just a couple one inch sized holes, so they are not that bad. Where can I pick up "Aqua seal", Canadian tire, Fishin hole, etc ? Quote
MMAX Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Almost anyone who sells fishing gear will have it...Canadian Tire, Fishin Hole Wholesale Sports etc. Quote
Guest bigbadbrent Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 What about a leak in the neoprene boots guys, same deal? Quote
kungfool Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 Another sure way to repair rubber waders is to cut a piece of inner tube and user rubber cement to attach it over and/or under the tear. I did this once on an old pair and used them many more times with no issues. This works well on nylon waders as well. Quote
