LynnF Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 Went to visit one week old Samson on Saturday. He's in here somewhere LOL. He'll be coming home to us on July 25th. Then we went to Petland to buy him some stuff. I stayed to the "stuff" aisle and Mike went to the pet adoption aisle (never, ever a good idea). Well...there was Jake. Formerly Michael, 11 month old yellow lab with a poker caller on (Mike loves poker...you see where this is going). He was surrendered by his owners for "being too active and needing too much attention". After moping around the grocery store, coming home and talking about how crazy it was, checking out the boat to see where they'd both fit, we went and "adopted" Jake. He's an unbelievable dog. He's got a lot of behavioural and training issues from his former life, but he already is doing things so much better and showing us what a smart, smart dog he is. And affectionate doesn't even cover his demeanor. He's already fit into our lives and we're so happy he's here. I think he's our fate. We had seriously talked about getting a second dog when Samson was a little over a year, but I guess Jake had a different idea - so we just did things a little backwards. Here's our Jake: We sure still miss Jessie, but having these 2 sweet pups in our life makes it so much easier now. There will be many a fun float down the river with these 2 boys....I can't wait Quote

Pythagoras Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 That is one big cluster of puppies! I bet they are a hoot when awake and stumbling around on those paws. Good on you for the adoption, the fly fishing gods will remember. Quote
