Guest Sundancefisher Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 I was in Houston after a fishing trip and called home using my calling card number. Then I got a bill. $9 for 1 min, $9 for 1 min 11 second, $24 for 11 minutes...all US. BE FOREWARNED I LEARNED THE HARD WAY THAT YOU HAVE TO PHONE A SPECIAL 1-800 number to bypass rip off charges. SanJuanWorm Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 Oh they're brutal. I did a job in Kentucky and used my phone. The bill was 800 dollars for 2 weeks. The thing to do is to call telus and ask if they can put you on a US roaming plan temporarily. They'll just give u minutes etc. Its cheaper. Quote
reevesr1 Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 Switched my phone today. I have a company phone, and they get WAY irritated when I forget, which I have done before. Quote
Maximum Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 I racked up almost $3K for a 3 week trip to Italy. That was not good... Quote
