Cdc Loops

What's the best and/or easiest way to tie CDC loops for emerger style flies? Are there any good step by steps for this? I'm mainly having trouble figuring out the tying sequence and how to form the loop. I always end up needing that elusive third arm

Not sure what you mean by a loop, but if its what im thinking, i always just lightly pull it over and do one light wrap over..get out ur bobkin, stick under the cdc and pull up.. will make a nice little ball (loop)

Check out Enrico Puglisi he has some good tools for tying cdc, I use his gadgets for my cdc caddis. Look online.

For a CDC Loop Wing Emerger I usually dub the thread with cdc or wrap it around then push the cdc into a "ball" and run the thread arround the base of the ball. You can pm me if this doesn't make sense.
