Steelhead was my main thing but salmon on the fly is a close second. cheeler Posted March 8, 2008 Share Posted March 8, 2008 Welcome to the board. Popular rods here are in the 12'-13.5' range in 5-7 weights, depending on what you're using em for. I've got a 12'6" Deer Creek that I'm learning to spey cast with, and a 10'6" 7/8 switch rod for streamers. Just do a search in the Spey Casters Lounge, there's tons of info in there.
