alhuger Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Hey all, I am thinking through a pattern I want to try and I have selected coyote fur for the collar. After stripping out the under hair the fur is very soft and about 4 inches long. I am wondering though if anyone knows what the action is like in the water? I realize I could try this in the sink and figure it out but I am currently not near the fur and won't be for a while. Does anyone have experience with coyote fur for long haired streamers? thanks, al Quote
Inconnu Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 I have used it on streamers, it seems to have lots of action. I have also seen it sold as zonker strips so I assume it has a pretty fluid action in the water... Quote
admin Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Great action on Cotote and fox. The coyote is a bit softer than the fox I have used. If you want the natural colour, go for the coyote, but for bright colours, use the dyed fox. Quote
bulltrout Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 if you ever want to see the action of a streamer, tie one up, tie it to a short length of line, and play with it in the bathroom sink (not recommended to play with streamers in the bathtub as there may be accidental foul hooksets )...
