L.l. Bean?

I just got the LL Bean fly fishing catalog, and I was impressed by the products they offer.

I have some LL Bean clothes and have always been impressed with their quality.

I was wondering if anyone has ever ordered any fishing gear from them.

They sell there own line of rods and reels along and top end Sage rods and some nice Ross/Lamson reels.

And some really nice vests/chest packs.

Oh, and a $3000 bamboo rod limited to a run of 25.

 

Any thoughts?

I bought a Streamlight Large Arbor Reel from them and it ended up in the garbage (on purpose)

I'm sure most of their stuff is good. The reel was my only bad purchase from them.

i havnt had any of there products but had tons of clients rockin teh stuff waders mostly and soem jackets..looked like great gear...and cheaper...

i think glenbow picked up his spey rod from LL Bean, he said he really likes it. guess you have to wait until he gets back

I picked up two float tubes from them last year via an online buy. They are fantastic, I am a big fan. The price was far better than I could get in BC (or AB for that matter) and they are good quality.
