Getting ready for spring with this

 

 

Mustad Size 16

Tail - Bottom of Snow Hare foot, dun

Dubbin- Blue Winged Olive Superfine Dubbin

Rib - Gold Rib

Abdomen - Olive Ice dub, followed by a green glass bead

Wing Case and Legs - Bottom of snow hare foot, dun

lol, jk, you might beat me up!

 

Its frigging tough to get the bead NOT to slide forward after the addition of all the materials (even when you put a chunk of thread infront of it..) so thats why the wraps are so evident. I got better at making it fit better, but the legs didn't turn out as good as that one...

 

lotsa time till spring, and knowing me, i'll tie 2 dozen, to find them useless

why not just krazy glue a bunch of them before hand or else a thin strip of dubbing?

I meant when i was tying it in. I'm not a fan of the thread being exposed on top of the beadhead, and since the glass bead slides forward when i'm tying it, i can't get my wraps to tuck under nicely
