cgyguy
Interested in current snow packs for the mountains? I "see" snow but wondering if we are good considering this winter has been quite mild? Anyone out there have info on this? Cheers
bcubed
This site has most of the answers when it comes to water: http://www.environment.alberta.ca/apps/basins/ We're pretty well on or above average for the Bow, however typically most of our snow happens in the next 3 months. http://www.environment.alberta.ca/forecasting/WaterSupply/jan2016/overview.html Snow accumulations measured in the mountains as of January 1, 2016 Oldman River basin: Highly variable, but generally average. Bow River basin: Moderately variable, but generally above average. Red Deer and North Saskatchewan basins: Below average, based on 2 locations (Limestone Ridge and Southesk pillow stations). Upper Peace River basin in British Columbia: as indicated in British Columbia's Snowpack and Water Supply Outlook
