alhuger Posted November 15, 2007 Share Posted November 15, 2007 All, I am experiencing pretty consistent snap off with my spey rod. My flie are lasting an average of 20 minutes or so then.... I am assuming this is likely because I am applying too much force or moving my forward stroke too early? maxwell Posted November 15, 2007 Share Posted November 15, 2007 u got it dude..i had this problem ehre and tehre the first few times bully and bow fishin nymphs or streamers...just tone it down a bit and you should be fine...im also checking my nots and rigs a lil more often too. ive also bin using palomar knots almost exclusively when spey fishing compared too certain situations i may need more knot strength single handed fishin...what lb test are you using in what situations dude...
