kinsey Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Hey all - looking to book a full day walk and wade for my dad. Hes a fairly experienced (self-taught) fly-fisherman out of Calgary and is really just looking to get some tips and hopefully try out some new waterways (he says his favorites are Oldman and Fallen Timbre). Does anyone have an suggestions about Alberta companies to book such a walk and wade? There are a lot and seem to offer similar excursions. Thanks! Quote

Guest ArtVandelay Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 I don't know if he's still around (I never see him on here anymore) but I hired Maxwell Robinson for a walk and wade when I first started fly fishing several years ago. To this day it's still the best non-essential money I've spent on fly fishing. Quote
relk19 Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Any fly shop in town will likely be able to find you a guide for the day. My personal favorite is Fish Tales, but there are many others out there (Country Pleasure, Bow River Troutfitters, etc...). Quote

Jayhad Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Don't limit yourself to a wade and walk, most guides will charge little more to do a drift. Quote
