Dxh Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Thinking about picking up a small camper (a Boler) for just myself for doing some camping/fishing this summer. I'd be going down a lot of gravel roads and I'm wondering what people use to protect their campers and truck. Spray on rock protector doesnt really appeal to me either. The Boler i'm looking at has been completely re-done, has a nice paint job I would like to keep all shiny. Have searched the internet for a while now and read some bad reviews on the hitch mounted rock guards (both the oversize mudflaps and the horse hair styles) apparently they don't do a very good job. Thought about building a custom screen type out of 1/2'' square tubing and welding something up but the actual trailer for the Boler is quite small leaving nothing really to attach it to. Anyone have any ideas? Quote
ÜberFly Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 What about that new 3M film they use for car hoods, etc.?! Probably as much as your Boler though!! Quote
bigalcal Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Tough to have the best of both worlds.....Keeping a trailer shiny and travelling on gravel roads. Wait til they lay the oil down and you get that red/brown streak on the front!! Good luck!! Quote
