jaymack Posted April 1, 2014 Share Posted April 1, 2014 I bought a #3 Metz Brown/Grizzly combo neck last week, and I have a question about it. This is my first dry fly hackle, and I noticed that the brown has a fair number of weathers with black web down the middle. Are these feathers still useful for dry flies? It is mostly less than 1/3-1/4 of the length of the barbs, but it seems to look like more just from the colour contrast.
