DonAndersen Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 In the newest copy of Fly Fusion on page 4>5 is a double page ad for Orvis showing a person crossing a fence. How many ways has this person done stupid? Don Quote
Weedy1 Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Do you mean this one? Oh sorry, I swear I saw a fence somewhere. Quote

MichaelKDell Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Ok, I will rise. 1. how is he going to get down, it's not a step, it's a jump, when he jumps that wire is going to bounce up and catch him 2. wire can get caught in boot and trip him into a faceplant 3. rod is going to break if he tumbles 4. landowner is going to be annoyed that he stretched top wire Personally, being of a shorter disposition, I always try to roll under barb wire. DonAndersen Posted February 15, 2014 Author Posted February 15, 2014 Michael, When I first saw the ad I thought of a guy who tried the top wire stunt on Stauffer. He slipped, the bard went in just above the knee and sliced to just about the groin missing the femoral artery by 1/2". He bleed a lot. Not enough to die but enough. And like you, I see 4 idiot moves in the ad. There are two of the list that effect me. Keeping the silly *hit alive driving up our health care costs and ticking off the landowner getting all anglers banned. As far as breaking a rod or ripping waders, Orvis builds more every day - unfortunately they warranty fence climbers. Regards, Don Quote
bigbowtrout Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 His boots also like like Simms and not Orvis. Quote
