Powderface Trail

Just wondering if anybody knows what is going on with Powderface Trail? It was closed after the floods last year with claims that it was severely damaged. According to what I have read on some other hiking/biking/outdoors forums Shell was driving the whole length of it last summer to access their sites when the the bridge over the Elbow was out, and apparently Spray Lakes Sawmills was using it from the north all the way down to Canyon Creek for logging operations over the last couple months. I have also read reports from last summer that people have driven the whole thing on their bikes and say it is not really very damaged at all. It is apparently open right now as far as Canyon Creek heading south but will be permanently closed and blocked off at the end of January. Seems kind of fishy to me that the public is being told it's too damaged to use but industry has been using it with no problems since right after the flood last year. Does anyone actually know what's going on with this road? and whether it will be opened to the public again? Thanks for any insight.

_{The road was damaged following the flooding in various locations, but the industry was required to maintain access the Moose Mountain area to maintain their operations and for the ongoing logging sites. this way they do not run logging truck through Bragg Creek (a concession they made to the community which they have not 100% abided by). Because the road was repaired by industry, and not the province, it is still officially closed to public access. After they are done working on site industry will either remove their bridges and let the province make permanent repairs, or the province will have to make agreements to compensate them for their repairs.}
