Glenbow Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Wow, nice fish. That's one Jimmy Durante coho for sure! Quote
Guest bigbadbrent Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Coho's always remind me of the Fifth Element Quote
flyangler Posted October 11, 2007 Author Posted October 11, 2007 The guide was teasing me about the fish always coming in with the line wrapped around them- said I must be lassoo-ing them. Those cohos spin like gators. So now my husband is calling me Queen of the Coho Rodeo. Quote
murray Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 Flyangler,I read your report with great interest. That is one thing that is on my to do list, but haven't done yet. I would be very interested to hear more, such as where, when and how as well as the guides contact info. Last year I bought an 8 weight outfit for just such a trip. I think it would be such a rush to catch a Coho on the fly. By the way, great report and pictures. Murray Quote
flyangler Posted October 12, 2007 Author Posted October 12, 2007 Murray, thanks for the kind words. I 'm glad you've enjoyed the reports. Near as I can figure, the where, when and how can best be sussed by hiring a guide from the Nicholas Dean Lodge. Ours was named Greg and he was excellent. Other than that, it seems that all I can tell you is how not to catch fish! Quote
