Roast
Kind of goofy but I liked it. Nice fly shop too. I just picked up a golden prince from overseas and can't wait to hear it sing:)
Jayhad
. I just picked up a golden prince from overseas and can't wait to hear it sing:) What size and how much if you don't mind? I 've been trying to find a golden prince myself
Roast
Its a golden prince 7/8 with case and was 119 GBP or ~ $190 CAD. Its used and has some minor nicks to the finish. I intend to use it with my 6wt on the bow, so a few nicks don't bother me at all. I switched over to click pawls this summer, and it somehow it made fishing even more fun. Good luck on your search. Jayhad
there are a bunch of 7/8s out there, you don't find it too big on the 6wt? I would love to find a 5/6, but I use a 10' so maybe the 7/8. I'll keep combing through the weeb
Roast
I found some pictures of the papers that were sent with Hardy Prince reels on Clark's. They rate the capacity of the 7/8 reel to be 75 yards of 18lbs backing with a 6 wt WF line. I did find somewhere that the weight of the reel was under 5 oz ( I think around 4.6) which I would be happy with. There is a big weight increase on the 9/10. I will have to wait and see how it balances. One thing I like about vintage reels is they aren't to hard to unload if you find you don't like them:)
