reevesr1 Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Here are some shots of my recent fishing weekend with my brother, brother in law, and son in the Kootenays. Fishing was great, weather was better, and the company better yet. Enjoy. Some shots of and from the campsite: Camp and Ridgeline Promo Shot The River The "Gates of Mordor" at Sunset: My brother diving in the river in the evening, he's that "rock" in the middle: And my son unable to not join in on the fun: We did a pretty nice hike on the second day. Finding the trailhead was a bit tough since my book was written before they re-opened the logging road. Fortunately, the directions included biking up what was then the closed road. But when we got to the area we thought should have the trailhead, there was a bunch of detritus from the logging operation. Fortunately there was another truck there and my son and I scouted about until we (he) found the actual trailhead. We met the guys with the truck on the hike. When we asked them how much further, they said "you are about 2/3's done. But it is about to get steep." They were not kidding. But it was worth it.... The lake: The boat someone left up there!: As I said in another thread, see snow and ya gotta slide: Brother hooked up: Quote

I got this guy on my first cast at a rising fish: And this one after the B-I-L got stuck in a tree, a technique taught to me by BBT, champion fish poacher: My son with a nice bullie: My brother: And finally, my BIL, "Tomohawk Chop" Quote
