He didn't bring the proper equipment to do his job, couldn't identify the species, and indicated intent to eat the fish "tuna tonight!". Even if he was joking, that's about as cool as yelling "bomb" in an airport, if you ask me. No, I'm afraid a pat on the back is not what comes to mind.
