Jayhad Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Howdy Pro's, is there a rule of thumb how far apart the oar handles should be? my first drifter and several big name others ive rowed have them with about 1"-2" apart. my new drifter is set at shoulder width.... you can always pull them in. I think mainly what ever is most comfortable for your rowing Quote
Hawgstoppah Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 I'd say just enough so that you dont bang your knuckles together when rowing. Maybe 4-6" apart would be perfect. That's where dutchie's hyde was set last year for me and I loved it. And if you can get "oar-rite" attachements for the oars they'll keep you oaring true all day long, effortless and blisterless. Highly recommended. Quote
