I've read somewhere about pacific salmon coming into atlantic ocean tributaries to spawn on the far soutn of south america. After some research scientist figured out that water coming from the glaciers is identical on pacific and atlantic side and therefore pacific salmon found their way to spawn on the atlantic side.
