The World Is Flat; A Study Of Scientific Consensus

There has been so much talk about the 'world is round' issue, I think we need to have a discussion 'of scientific consensus' about this issue...looking at both sides. The Scientific community, in their quest for funding has proposed that the world is flat. What we, as nonscientists need to do is look at their work objectively, it doesn't matter what NASA, geologists etc. might say. The world has been flat for thousands of years....how can, in only a few hundred years this change when our records clearly indicate the world has been flat since time began. We, as human beings certainly don't have the ability to change the shape of the world?

I think most of the confusion centers around the term 'round'. If, in fact, people would have been properly educated with the facts, the term 'oblate spheroid' would have been used instead. Alas, the damage has been done, and and there's no turning back now.

Cheers

Clearly the shape of the world has been changing for millenia. The question is whether the changes over the last 100 years have been accelerated by man or are rather due to a natural cycle that we simply don't understand.
