Guest 420FLYFISHIN Posted April 23, 2012 Share Posted April 23, 2012 a few things : -as the water rises it will sweep old shucks off the bank -stones do a large scale molt -stones do a large scale "migration" to new hunting grounds about now Dustin - those in your photo look like shucks. they look life like if you varnish them. Chadillac Posted April 24, 2012 Share Posted April 24, 2012 I was getting pelted all morning at McKinnon on Saturday! I witnessed quite a few floating near the banks, which compelled me to try a stimmy, had one refusal, I was just excited to get a surface strike! They are definitely active, as I managed a couple bows on a Kaufman black stone nymph. I did also see an adult golden stone taking refuge in a rock overhang as well. Cheers!
