gentlemang Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 When I was out yesterday I noticed a very large insect flying in the air. It was mid afternoon, Almost an inch long. Could this have been a stone fly? Greg Quote

Guest JBear Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Those look a little to dark to be golden stone nymps... Definitely interesting though.... You're not making the the waiting till late june/july any easier on me. Quote
Chadillac Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 I was getting pelted all morning at McKinnon on Saturday! I witnessed quite a few floating near the banks, which compelled me to try a stimmy, had one refusal, I was just excited to get a surface strike! They are definitely active, as I managed a couple bows on a Kaufman black stone nymph. I did also see an adult golden stone taking refuge in a rock overhang as well. Cheers! Quote
