CopperJonny Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Hey guys , thank you very much for all of the input ! It is greatly appreciated....I haven't been home or on the river for some time now....starting to really miss drifting and being in the water ....won't be long now...Usually I bring my tying gear everywhere I go , yet this time I figured I would'nt have time . Was looking at buying a "new to me vice" off of here , yet didn't have the time to meet up and get my hands on it , nor another spey rod.....darn work! Been working so hard , happy to be back at er , that I have just recently ....last Monday the 19th , compression fractured my T-7 vertebrae ......OUCH . Crushed between a manlift and a 24" stainless steel pipe , up here in Peace River at the DMI Pulp Mill ! There goes my hunting season , and neverending fly season for a few months . Dammit.... Be careful out there, at work and at play ....lower your head one time , for one second and those hazards WILL bite !! It doesnt matter how many times you or I have done the task , 12 years I have been in my career and not one accident , other than merely "something got into my eye" , and the one time bit !!Hard.......medivacced to Edmonton and everything so they could decide wether or not to do surgery , thankgod they did'nt, anyhow...thanks for the input everyone , stay safe ! Toirtis Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Sorry to hear about the injury, Jonathan....that really sucks. Losing the hunting season blows, but perhaps you can use that time for a bunch of tying... Quote
