bigalcal
Has anybody been down south on the FTR north of Coleman. I hear there is a ton of snow still to melt in the area. Is the road clear? I was hoping to camp May 14-17. Thanks
bigalcal
I spoke to F&W in Bairmore and others and there's a ton of snow. 3-4 ft at Dutch Creek Campground!!
loeber
3'-4' of snow should keep the couch burning and car flipping to a minimum on the long weekend. So we've got that going for us.

ham
Good luck you know the losers will show up rain or shine and make a mess regardless. Snow is just another element to "Conquer".....
bigalcal
Racehorse Campground is open May 13. Lot's of melting this week. The road from Coleman is clear and a bit "washboardy". The forecast for May long is grim. Cloudy/showers. It will be messy. I will be putting my trailer (aka the "Cutty Hut") in this weekend and I will be there May long for the s**t show. Who's in? reevesr1
Are they going to let you leave it in the campground? I seem to remember there was an issue?
