Gaffer Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 This video is hilarious. I love glass. I bought the new Eagle Claw Featherlight rods this summer, all 3 are glass & I love them. They are fun, cheap, and durable. Came to less than $100 shipped from the USA. Andrew Quote
Timo Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 I can't wait to take out my new Sage TCX it will increase my line speed, accuracy, distance and hook setting and is almost impervious to breakage. You guys are missing the point! Lol this video makes me want to return it. I am not even going to mention my reel... and no I do not speak with an accent but my drag can stop a small truck going 20 mph. Cleary I need help lol and this video has made me realise this fact. Badcaster, it looks like your avatar has hooked into a nice buck there so that reel might come in handy after all!!! It's the catch and release part that gets a little dodgy with the deer. Quote
trailhead Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 I am obviously a Muslim-Socialist, paid $150 for my latest 8' 6" two piece 5 wt, with reel and line. I believe my line speed, accuracy and hook setting are competent. Maybe I am missing the point, and probably on purpose. Quote
reevesr1 Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Holy crap was that funny. I liked the reel one better, particularly this exchange: "I think you have lost your mind" "Up your you cheap bass fisher of junk store tackle and take the clattering of you Pflueger Medalist and the ratchety cackle of you imitation Hardy's and other offshore junk and stuff them in the closet where the rest of your sorry ass cheap tackle should be gathering dust." Oh, that made my day. I think tomorrow I will dust off some of my cheap ass junk and fish for picky trout. Always remember: "Money is irrelevant when you are chasing a dream!" spend up boys. Quote

But can your reel handle 7x tippet, and yet have a sealed drag system capable of stopping a small truck at 20 mph? I think not. Quote
