A hybrid of the Copper John and the Jeremy Davies Evil Weevil nymph?

 

Hook: DAIICHI 1130

Bead: Black

Thread: UNI Thread, Dk Brown, 8/0

Tails: Pheasant tail, about 3 fibres

Body: 2 strands UTC ultra wire, med, hot orange and green.

Legs: Brown Goose biots

Thorax: 2 strands peacock herl

Nice tie. I've been tying something similar but with chartreuse wire and caddis green ice dub as a caddis nymph. I still include the thin skin, pearl flashabou and uv knot sense over the thorax like the copper john though.

 

Love to see your bug, a dumb question, what is a uv knot?

i must be getting old or else complacent but i cannot see that pic...lol...

 

I find that clicking the left button on your mouse after you have the pointer thingy on the little area at the bottom that says FULL SIZE IMAGE works well for me.

what i MEANT to say is why post the small pic with a link to a full size...why not just post the big one instead...lol...you guys are wieners... :drinked:
