Guest Jeremie Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 I've tied some seal buggers, tung stud, blue poison darts, green poison darts, Caddis poopahs in orange and green and of course san juans. the last one is a size 20, it was a complete biotch to tie. What do y'all think? Quote
Tungsten Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Very nice! The main reason for me anyways for tyeing on a size 20 is to keep it as small as possible so i avoid any metal beads to keep it small. You think tyeing them is a bitch now wait till your in your 40's and you can't see them as good, my advise is tie a couple thousand now so when you get old you won't have to do it lol. Quote

Guest 420FLYFISHIN Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 not to side track but i think his night is more like this guys Quote
bhurt Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Jeremie, Sorry to side track your post but yeah your ties are diffently nice and should work very well, I found when I first started to tie #20's that they were a pain in the ass but the more and more I tied the easier it got, I also found that I nice bright light source helped me out alot. Also I really like using benencie's (sp?) thread for these small flies as it is super strong with a very small diameter for the thread which made ting them so much more easier. Quote
