SanJuanWorm Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 I'm headed down in a couple weeks and floating the bighorn river. Might even get the yellowstone too. Just wondering if anyone has fished it and how it was. Quote
OneMoreLastCast Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 Fished both a number of times, but it's been a few years. Both were a lot of fun and they pretty much fished like the Bow as far as Patterns and Techniques. A little more crowded than our rivers, but it was still a great experience each time. I love new water. Looking forward to the reports. Quote
monger Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 Try some smaller flies, like #16, #18 sow bugs and scuds. The good old worm works as well. The fish are big and fat just like their countrymen . There is also some monster carp in the backwaters for more techinical fishing. Quote
flyangler Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 The fish are big and fat just like their countrymen . Naw, it's just our rumps that make those waders look fat. Quote
Hawgstoppah Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 I am curious to see how you make out. Let me know. I am down in that area quite often delivering log homes and would like to hit that river one of these days Are you going with a guide or on your own? Quote
