wongrs
Went up to Banff NP last weekend camping and hiking and thought some would be interested to see Bow Glacier and some headwater pics. Figured the bow fanatics would be interested and perhaps make the pilgrimage up there as well as the scenery is spectacular. Easy hikes too. Here are the pics! wongrs
Random other pics just for interest. Hikes were super easy. Bow Lake and Bow Glacier Falls is about a couple hours and practically no elevation gain. MIstaya is some 500 m and Parker Ridge is about an hour hike with a spectacular view. All hikes are along 93 through Banff. Mistaya (don't fall in!): Saskatchewan Glacier (Parker Ridge):

wongrs
My pleasure gran. Unfortunately a light rain came through while we were at the falls so hence the foggy look. Here's a better pic of Bow Glacier Falls:

fishfreak
Somebody should make a little flyfishing shrine at the glacier, as it is the source of our fun further downstream. Great pics.

rhuseby
Gorgeous areas up along the 93. I've been lucky enough to ski tour and climb in both areas and the views from above are awesome. The ex's uncle was a Danish shipwright who did most of the construction on Numtija Lodge for old Jimmy Simpson. Castella was his name.
