Nope. It is definitely a lake chub. You can count the scales above the lateral line half way down the apex of the caudal peduncle.

It's got a funny mouth. I'm thinking duck bileed brownasaurasrex.

 

Whatever, I'm sneaking into Auburn Bay come ice out.

We didn't see any of those duck-billed brownasaurs when we were there last summer, but we did find something much more interesting in the creek water
