DonAndersen Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Anybody knows who pays for the increased air security? You & me [citizens], the air traveler, the passenger arrival point or the passenger departure point. Can't imagine that it's cheap. Or better yet - who should pay? regards, Don Quote

Anyone have his address to send an invoice? We flew to/from Vancouver during the restrictions (not on us as it was a domestic flight) and the general consensus was that they were going to be lifted today. Not understanding the logic there, but at least we won't have to pay once they're gone. Right? Quote
Nick0Danger Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 The Calgary airport takes in billions every years on taxes you pay on your ticket that's what pays for it. The transport canada staff that works at the airport although employed by the government gets the pay check from the airport. The security staff is paid by the airport. The Canadian government does not give money to the airports anymore unless there is underlining circumstances. Quote
