Pdf Conversion Software??

I need a low cost alternative to Adobe Acrobat 9 to convert simple Word based files into pdf. Out of the half a hundred I can find on the net any suggestions for something reliable and easy to use on a touch screen tablet 'puter?

We use "CutePDF Writer" here at work (http://www.cutepdf.com/products/cutepdf/Writer.asp)... Don't know much about it except that it works! And was less expensive then Acrobat (I guess it's free)... Not sure how it would work on a touch screen, but it goes through the printer (I'm no techie guy)?! Worth looking into..
