nebc Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 The software is in version 1.09 beta, and while it may not be the final product but an evolving one, after going through it, I think it is a shame more people do not seem to be using and supporting it. The peer to peer fly data trading idea is also a good one that will only be brought back in the event people use the software and encourage the author. Questions and comments are welcomed. Quote
headscan Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 I tried it for a while and thought it had potential, but being a Mac user it was a pain to fire up a Windows VM to use it. Quote
admin Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Not 100% sure, but I think that the developer was at one time making a mac version as well as a unix version. It's too bad it's been fading as the site here supports the .fly files it uses. Quote
bhurt Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 I used to use it a couple of years ago but found it sometimes worked for me and sometimes it didn't. Quote
newflyer Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 I understood that the peer to peer is not currently working? I have had troubles making it run on my machine. Quote
admin Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Ya, The Peer to peer has been down for quite a while. I've talked to Kevin, the programmer and am hoping that he'll continue to work on the program. I really enjoyed using it, and still do, but without the peer to peer support, it takes away from it a bit. BTW, if anyone is interested in getting my archive of .fly files, send me a PM and I'll give you a web address where you can download it. There are about 1700 flies in a zip file. Quote
