Weedy1
A buddy of mine from Calgary was saying Mackenzie was stocked with triploids. Anyone know anything about this pond? Anyone fished it?
Guest bigbadbrent
Mackenzie is one of my favourite stocked lakes, big fish and lots of them. Not too sure about them being triploids, but they are very easy to catch (troll with a WB, and you'll be golden)
Weedy1
BBB do you know how long they have been stocking the lake and what size are they tops? My buddy said triploids have been stocked for 2 years. Apparantly you have to be a member of the community to fish it, are you a member? Guest bigbadbrent
Nope i'm not a member, but i had occasional access when i was in highschool through the flyfishing club. They've been stocking it for a minimum of 3 or 4 years

Guest bigbadbrent
Yeah i'd say definitly take him up on it, its a great lake. My favourite spot was the north end, and the little bays between the tunnel that goes under the road (you'll see what i mean if you go in a tube and float around)
gravelman
They have been stocking trout since at least 98 used to fish it back then
monger
They stocked Sundance lake with triploids this year as well. It will be interesting to see what the fish look like in 3,4 and 5 years. The trout and perch were very interested in damsel fly nymphs today.
