  1. let me geuss emerson pond high river??????????
  2. In the end all that i want them to do is set up some of those concrete lego blocks so they cant get through. Alls they need is about 10 of them and a cherry picker to set them up. To maybe save the river from further idiots.
  3. I am perrty chocked at all facets of the government.I sent an email to several different address about some idiots driving in the highwood river 2 months ago i have heard back from only one and that was to tell me that the person who deals with it was on holidays and when they get back they might look at it. What really has got to me now is that on sunday when i went to this spot there were several more tire tracks in the river and upon closer examinnation there apperead to be bull trout reds in this area. There were probally 2 dozen spots cleaned out in this area which apperead to be reds. I will head down there all three days this weekend and if i come across this jack@$$ and i am going to phone the rap line and see if they do anything. As far as i am concernerd this is just as bad as poaching and should be dealt with the same.
  4. Looks alot bigger then that record whittie ..... Congrats
  5. Free parking thats awesome. Thats good enough of a discount for me.
  6. Bloom do you have them taught on the fly rod yet

  10. 1. england one of orvis streams. 2. new zealand 3. mongolia I see alot of people would like to go to alaska. I highly reconmend it . Alought i didnt flyfish when i went there it was still one of my fondest memories. Halibut fishing was incredible caught a 80lb from 200 ft i was only 15 and man it was awesome. Also did some stream fishing for salmon nothing like hooking into a 12 or higher salmon on a stream like the bow. Alaska hass these awesome wilderness cabins in the prince william sound. We stayed at one just a old prospectors cabin in the middle of nowhere didnt see anyone for 3 days talk about getting away from the crowds. Also you havent tasted fresh fish until you catch a big salmon an d have it grilling in 5 minutes man is that tasty.
  11. I have nothing against newfoundland. Met alot of good guys from there and some not so good just like anywhere in the world i was just using them as an example. The economy is on the down sing a month or so ago i heard a stat that precision drilling had half of there rigs shutdown and parked this year thats just the first step. Saskatchewan is the new alberta its only a matter of time till it is booming as big as it was here. What i was trying to say the percentage of spilled material is only a very small percentage of the production so we should be happy that its not more.
  12. What percentage of total production do these spills acount for ? Probaly not that high . Its a price we have to pay to the vibrant economy that we have. The majority of us on here are directly or indirectly related to the boom in the oilfield. The majority of these companys spend millions of dollars trying to prevent spills but its going to happen. I for one enjoy living in the richest province. If it wasnt for the oil and gas we wouldnt be much better then newfoundland. What about your contribution to the envirnoment are you 100% green i doubt it.. Just my opinon go ahead jump on me if you want but the next time you drive 100 km to go fishing better do it in a electric car powered by green wind power.
  13. Old ralphie aint no avid fly fisherman hes a hard ware chucker and trust me i know this for a fact. he fly fishes once in a while.
  14. Maybe try and get in contact with the guys from trout bum diaries as there second video kiwi camo showcased new zealand and a experienced gudie there. http://www.aegmedia.com/
  15. As far as i am concerened if you enjoy fly fishing and do your best at catching and realeasing fish. Then hey do it. I am sure a few fish over the years died because of me fishing for them and i do feel bad for that but on the same token the fish that died may of fed a million different organisims that grow and allow other fish to feed and then grow and breed and produce more fish. Bassically what i am saying is the circle of life. Anytime i keep a fish it is out of a put and take type of place like chain lakes or okotoks lake. I do not feel bad doing this as these fish are put there for that reason. As long as the fish you take do not go to waste and they are consumed you are just continuing what our ancestors did when they lived from the land. I flyfish because it is a love of mine and i couldnt imagine what i would do with out.
  16. Not to jump on anyone but there is plenty of water around with no one on it. I dont know why people need to complain about it. Since the 16 of june i have yet to run into another fisherman on any of my spots. If your only a quick walk from your car then chances are you are going to see someone. Walk walk and walk some more chances of seeing someone are slim to none. Know that i have said my peace i wish we could do something about Go#$amn rafters.
  17. The highwood from high river east has pertty good telus coverage same with the sheep from turner valley east. But you are about a hour from the nearest hospital in calgary. Maybe one of the people on here with lake access in the city would take you out

  21. What an incredible beautiful fish. JUst joking caught this 20+ pig of a sucker on the highwood tonight. Ewwwwww friking disgusting
  22. In the words of a bullshead spin caster "ITS A KEEPER"
  23. I parpicapated in the yellow fish program when i was a kid in okotoks. We were the first to do it and it is still practiced out there. Please phone the enviroment service. Also if you see people washing there cars in there driveway i believe this is against a calgary bylaw. report them as well.
