  1. Hi Nick....If you do some searching in the BC part of the forum you will find several posts I have made over the past number of years concerning both sea runs and coho. Here is one I made last year in that part of the forum. There is another called Island Magic dated Oct.21, 2012. There are also posts in the fly tying section (What are you tying 2015 edition, page 4 shows one of my favourite searun flies) showing some of the patterns I have found to be very effective for these fish. Hope you find what you're looking for. http://flyfishcalgary.com/board/index.php?showtopic=22628
  2. I've had the same issue with korkers. Thought maybe because I use them in salt water a lot. Sounds like maybe that's not the case, anyway I used contac cement on them, they've never come apart since.
  3. A variation of an Alexandra with an old 1960's Banff National Park fishing guide as the background.
  4. Jeff's memorial bench was installed yesterday June 24th. 2016 at Bullshead Lake by his family. Thanks to all who helped make this possible. This bench is incredible, Jeff would be honoured!
  5. As soon as the photos are made available to me I will post them.
  6. I received an email today from Linda and Ron Wilson, Jeff's parents, that his memorial bench is to be installed at Bullshead tomorrow June 24th. Thanks to all who contributed.
  7. Damsels I like to fish near but not necessarily on the surface. Mustad 94840 size 14. I see the barb broke when pinched down, will have to file it smooth.
  8. Great looking fly Andicapp, well done!
  9. Awesome stuff guys, keep them coming!
  10. When I first started tying Spey flies I ruined many a bronze mallard wing until I paid more attention to the base the wing is to be tied too. It is criticle that you have a smooth even base on which to mount the wing. Waxing your thread can help prevent the wing from slipping and of coarse learning how much thread pressure will soon follow with practice. Once you become proficient at these skills you will find that adding a second wing is easier than you might think. Hope this helps.
  11. Sad news indeed! I met Ron several years ago when we tied flies at the fly fishing expo. My condolences to his family and friends.
