I like the Rio Streamer tip type 3. When casting to the bank I can strip in right away or let it sink for a sec or so depending on the depth, easy to mend & it doesnt wear you out when repetitive casting from a boat.

Interesting read. I drive to Montana a couple of times a year & enjoy some great days.

Looks like it will be great, looking forward to seeing it. Jim back on television is long overdue, his old show Iron Blue Flyfishing set the standard that still hasnt been equaled.

Battery Pack, and when you do make sure you have the compatable back door, the early ones came with the door that fit the earlier cameras. The battery packs are the same but the doors arent. You can email GoPro & they will send you a new door at no charge, but takes a couple of weeks to get.

I fish with both, it depends on the water conditions, & the fly.

Thanks for the info everyone!! I ended up getting a killer deal on a 12'6" 6wt Z Axis. Might be at the heavy end of what's needed, but should be good for getting some big streamer rigs out there.
Your new Z-axis will be fine, now the fun begins. Enjoy.

Unfortunately Peter, I dont know what to do now except take it somewhere to get checked somehow. I'm lucky to have IT people that work for the same company that I do so that I can just hand it to them & say fix please.

I had a similar thing happen to me. My laptop kept dropping sessions, when hardwired worked perfectly. Thought it was the wireless router, bought a new one, did lots of diagnostics, no one coulf find any reasons. Changed to Telus, still had issues but not as frequent.. So just sucked it up hardwired permanently. Then time for a new laptop which company sayswas due to policy & works fine now. So we think the internal WiFi antenna was the problem
